Whether you’re kick-starting a new career or have years of experience under your belt, working as a Dental Assistant at Familia Dental has amazing benefits.
We manage all administrative, marketing, quality, financial, and operations tasks for our offices. This means that you get to focus on what matters most— dental care and the health of your patients. By investing in cutting-edge technology such as digital scanners, upgraded medical record systems, PPE, and the latest safety protocols, Dental Assistants are able to provide the highest level of care to our amazing patient community.
We create a positive, collaborative environment that allows you to learn and grow quickly in your Dental Assistant role. Our TRIFECTA training program provides the necessary skills, cultural immersion, and real-world experience for you to quickly hit the ground running. Let’s talk about your three-week training!
You will learn about company culture immersion and gain training on various tools and equipment in the office. You’ll also shadow a Senior Dental Assistant to observe the clinic flow, different dental procedures, and patient interaction.
We’ll help you understand the basic tray setup, utilization of sterilization equipment, placement of x-rays, and teardown/set up of ops for a variety of procedures. You’ll learn how to assist with four-handed dentistry and prep the operatory according to the provider’s preference while receiving direct feedback and support from a team member.
Our team will provide a hands-on approach for radiograph placement, typical 4 bitewings, 2 periapical, safety, and provider needs under the direct supervision of a Senior Dental Assistant. A final training manual review will also take place at this time.
By week four, you will provide care alongside assigned physicians and build upon your knowledge and skillsets learned in the previous weeks.
Our structured training and orientation programs are designed to help new Dental Assistants grow and thrive in their new roles. Familia Dental also encourages employees to explore a number of different career paths within the organization to broaden your horizon and explore all there is to offer within the dental industry.
